CONSOL Drilling Complaint Line

The Allegheny county Airport Authority CONSOL drilling complaint line is now active. The phone number is 724-705-6522.

Purpose
This complaint line is for any concerns with the drilling operations that are taking place on the airport property. The complaint line is active 24/7 and once your call has been logged, someone will get back to you within 1 hour. This line is not intended to be used as an emergency line. If you have a true emergency, please call 911. The Township will also be sending out a Swiftreach during milestones of the drilling operations.

Board of Supervisors Conditional Use Decision
The meeting of the Board of Supervisors for a final decision on the Conditional Use Permits for CONSOL (CNX) Gas Drilling at
Pittsburgh International Airport (P.I.A.) was held on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 7 p.m. at the Findlay Township Activity Center, at the following address:
310 Main St.
Imperial, PA 15126 

Conclusion
The Conditional Use applications were approved, with conditions. read the Findings of Fact, Conclusions of Law, and Decision (PDF) online.

Close of Public Hearing
The Public Hearing for the CONSOL Drilling Applications at P.I.A. was closed at the March 12, 2014 Board of Supervisors Regular Meeting. A decision will be rendered within 45 days.

Environmental Assessment Documents
The Environmental Assessment documents have been received by Findlay Township (received on February 21, 2014). They are available to view during normal business hours, 8 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. at the following address:

February's Public Hearing

Oil and gas development plans public hearing for the CONSOL drilling applications at P.I.A. A Public Hearing was held on February 20, 2014 for review of the 2 applications filed by Consol Energy (CNX) for gas drilling operations at the Pittsburgh International Airport property.
